How Our Eco-Friendly Hot-Water Bin Cleaning Process Works

By Bubbly Bins

“Bin cleaning” can mean a lot of things — from a real, sanitizing deep clean to someone splashing a bucket of soapy water around. Here’s exactly what happens when Bubbly Bins cleans your cans, and why each step matters.

Step 1: Pre-inspect

We start by checking your bins and pulling out anything stuck — stray trash, debris, the occasional surprise. Skipping this is how other “cleanings” just smear the mess around. We clear it first.

Step 2: The hot-water blast

This is the heart of it. We hit the inside and outside of your bin with water heated to around 200°F, at high pressure. Heat plus pressure is what actually breaks down baked-on grease, food residue, and the bacteria living in it — the stuff cold water and a hose can’t touch.

Step 3: Eco-friendly sanitizing

We use biodegradable, family- and pet-safe cleaners — never harsh chemicals that run off into your yard or the storm drain. Combined with the hot water, they sanitize the surfaces and knock out the germs your bin collects all week.

Step 4: The lavender finish

Last, we apply a lavender deodorizing spritz. So instead of “less bad,” your bin actually smells fresh — and stays that way longer.

Step 5: Back to your gate

We return your bins right to your garage or gate. You don’t lift a finger, and you don’t even have to be home.

Why eco-friendly matters

Blasting a bin clean shouldn’t trade one mess for another. Hot water does most of the heavy lifting, so we don’t need aggressive chemicals — better for your family, your pets, your lawn, and the local waterways here in West Virginia.

That’s the whole process: thorough, sanitizing, and genuinely eco-friendly. Curious what it’d cost for your home? Bubbly Bins serves Fairmont, Bridgeport & Morgantown, WV.
